Advocate A K Srivastava, property broker Deepak Kulkarni, and Srivastava's two assistants Rakesh Verma and Deepak Gaur were arrested for alleged conspiring and killing former forest ranger Manmohan Tiwari earlier this year, SP (headquarters) Dr Ashish told reporters.
Tiwari's murder was reported on February 1, 2012.
The deceased had planned to sell his house for some crores but the accused lawyer had allegedly made a "secret deal" and offered Rs 50 lakh to him, which was the main cause of the dispute between them, the SP said.
Since Tiwari was against the deal, Srivastava allegedly hatched a conspiracy and hired his own workers to shoot Tiwari at his home in Sudama Nagar, the SP added.
