Two women, suspected to be call girls who used to visit the 50-year-old cable TV businessman Tarun Bajaj, allegedly killed him along with two aides for money and all four have been arrested today, police said.
The accused have been identified as Sooraj alias Sahil (24), Mohit Sharma alias Sunny (19), Pooja (26) and Munni alias Moni (19), a senior police official said,
They had allegedly stabbed Bajaj to death on June 25 at his New Rajender Nagar house in Central Delhi, as they had learnt that the deceased was a rich man and they can get a bounty of cash from his house.
"Moni, works in a beauty parlor, was the first to be arrested from her home in Sultanpuri. Her interrogation led to the arrest of the other accused who had fled to Dehradun in Uttarakhand. These arrests have been made this morning," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Central) Sandeep Goel.
The two women had stabbed Bajaj with the help of Sahil and Sunny and in due course, Sahil and Munni sustained wounds in their hands, he said.
Bajaj was found murdered in his bedroom on the first floor house with multiple wounds on his chin, neck, chest, waist, belly, legs three days ago.
There were deep wounds on his belly and his neck. Some articles in the room were scattered and almirahs found open. His wife used to leave her home at 10.00 AM for her office.
On that day, when she returned home around 6 PM, the door bell remained unanswered. Then she opened the gate with the duplicate key of the house only to find Bajaj's naked body in the bedroom.
During investigation, police examined footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area and found two men had reached the spot wearing shirts on a motorcycle but left the place wearing T-shirts.
