There was no casualty due to the derailment that took place in Danapur division of East Central Railway at around 10.30 a m, ECR Chief Public Relations Officer Amitabh Prabhakar said.
The cause behind the derailment was yet to be known, he said adding it disrupted the train services on Mughalpur-Danapur rail sections.
The derailed bogies consisted of an AC three tier, one parcel, SLR and a pantry car. While the AC three tier and parcel van derailed partially, the SLR and pantry car got totally derailed, he said.
An empty rake has been rushed to bring the passengers travelling by the derailed train, ECR Danapur Division PRO Ranjit Kumar Singh said adding two accident relief trains have also been rushed from Mughalsarai and Danapur.
ECR Additional General Manager Ajay Shukla and Chief Safety Officer Kaushik Mukherji left for the site to supervise restoration works, Prabhakar added.
