Four convicted under NDPS Act

A fast track court here has convicted four persons, including two women, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Ombir Singh yesterday sentenced Dilshad and Naushad to seven years imprisonment. Two women drug traffickers, Rihana and Sonu Begun, were sentenced to six months imprisonment.
A fine of Rs 50,000 each was imposed on Dilshad and Naushad, while the women were ordered to pay Rs 5,000 each.
According to the prosecution, the four drug traffickers were arrested on October 29, 2014, in Shamli district and 85 grams of smack was seized from their possession.
