The deceased include three children, police said.
They were identified as Shaik Azhar (37) and his two daughters and a son (all aged between 3 and 9 years), while his wife and another daughter suffered injuries in the accident, they said.
The mishap occurred under Karkhana police station limits at around 10.15 PM when Azhar alongwith his wife and children was proceeding to attend a marriage at Tirumulgherry, Inspector Y Nageswar Rao said.
The injured were later admitted to a hospital, police said.
The driver K Advaiah, who was allegedly driving the vehicle under the influence of liquor was today arrested, police said.
