A huge cache of arms and ammunition besides IEDs were seized from them while they were trying to enter the town, they said.
According to the police, the team was sent by Sohan D Shira, the founding commander-in-chief of the militant outfit, to create disturbances in Tura in the coming few days.
An AK-47 rifle with 26 rounds of ammunition, one 9 mm pistol and two magazines, one 7.56 pistol with two magazines, three IEDs and two I-cards were seized from them, police said, adding magazine pouches, camouflage uniforms, round seals of the GNLA and demand booklets were also seized.
