Of the four arrested persons, one has claimed that he was a part of the elite President's Bodyguard (PBG), they said.
"Four persons were arrested while attempting a burglary at a bank late Saturday night. One of the arrested accused has claimed himself to be a President's Bodyguard (PBG). We need to verify his identity," SP, Jhunjhunu, Manish Agarwal said.
The accused claiming to be President's bodyguard was identified as Sandeep Rajput, resident of Kishorpura area, he added. The other three accused were Vikas Meena, Sanjay Singh and Shakti Singh, Agarwal said.
The accused had allegedly entered the bank by breaking open the shutters, police said. The attempt was foiled after an alert neighbour provided information, they added.
