Four held for extortion

Four persons were arrested for
allegedly trying to extort Rs 5 lakh from an Ayurvedic practitioner in the city, police said today.
The accused threatened Dr Mohan Puri (50) who has a clinic at Nashikroad, of "exposing him for bringing in health milk of inferior quality," they said.
They accepted Rs 50,000 from the doctor who then approached police.
The accused identified as Bhimrao Aher (65), Nitin Aher (22), Yogesh Jagtap and Anil Baviskar also threatened Dr Puri to badmouth his products if he did not accept their demand.
The accused were apprehended last night and booked under various sections of IPC, police said.
