"One Kondeti Ganapathi (55) was preparing fire crackers for the upcoming Nagula Chaviti festival (celebrated after Diwali) at his home in the village. Accidentally, one of the crackers caught fire and exploded. Other crackers stored there soon caught fire," police said.
Kondeti's nephew Pondureu Venkata Ramana (50), Kondeti Viswanadham (22) and Kondeti Satyam (20) were injured in the incident along with him.
All the four injured were admitted to Area Hospital at Palakonda for treatment.
All of them have been referred to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) at Srikakulam for further treatment.
Investigation into the case is on.
