The deceased were identified as one Punjab Police ASI Rashpal Singh from Harike, Jagjit Singh resident of Bathinda, Rama and Jagdeep Singh residents of village Balgari of Faridkot district.
Following the incident, students of Shivlaik Nursing College shifted the injured to Sarhali hospital.
Ten persons who were seriously injured have been referred to Amritsar and Tarn Taran hospitals for treatment, police said.
Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Pardeep Sabarwal along with the senior police officers also visited the hospital and asked the authorities to provide best possible treatment to the injured, the spokesperson added.
