After the quarry collapsed, a tractor-trolley driver raised an alarm and people pulled out all the five from the mud.
However, four people died instantly, police said, adding that the one who was injured is in a serious condition and has been admitted to a hospital.
Those who died have been identified as Samru, Kallu, Kailash and Kunwar Singh.
Meanwhile, District Collector Jaishree Kiyawat has announced financial help of Rs 10,000 to family members of the four deceased while the area's Janpad Panchayat has decided to bear the entire expenditure of funerals, officials said.
