The incident occurred in the afternoon at Siddharth Nagar area after an MNS activist entered into an argument with a watchman at the old premises of the Garden Wafers Company, they said.

According to Kasturba Marg police, Ravindra More, 35, who works as driver for MNS MLA Pravin Darekar, was passing through the old premises of the Garden Wafers Company in his Honda Activa, when a watchman stopped the car when he was entering a lane passing through the compound.

The lane passing through the compound is frequently used as a shortcut, but the watchman stopped More from using it, leading to an altercation between the duo, they said.

"Furious More left the scene but soon returned with around 10 to 15 MNS activists," said an officer with the Kasturba Marg police.

"The group saw the movie set in the premises and destroyed it. It was Sippy's set. The group also damaged 16 vehicles parked there. Two persons have sustained injuries in the incident and are currently undergoing treatment at Bhagwati Hospital," the officer added.

People at the set called the Kasturba Marg police, and several teams were rushed to the spot, they said, adding that four MNS activists were detained.

A complaint of rioting and causing damage to property has been registered at Kasturba Marg police station, and the extent of the damage is being evaluated, police said.
