Those arrested were identified as Chandramani Nayak of Cooperative Colony here, Kishor Chandra Nayak of Ankuli, Basudev Pandit of Kukudakhandi near here and Sivaji Mahakuda of Badapur Tata Colony, said SP (Berhampur) Sarthak Sarangi.
Chandramani, who worked as a security personnel for a builder in Bhubaneswar, was stated to be the king-pin in supply of firearms in the area, he said.
He was procuring firearms from Howrah in West Bengal and selling at Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 depending on the size and model of the weapon, police said adding the other three accused had confessed to purchasing of revolvers and pistols and ammunition from Chandramani.
