Four players from the World's Top-20, including World No. 5 Jon Rahm, will compete at the Hero Challenge for 2017 at the iconic Atlantis Hotel here.
Rahm, who is all set to bring down the curtains after this tournament, will compete with the European Tour's Race to Dubai leader Tommy Fleetwood, who will make his Hero Challenge debut, as also with another Spaniard Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Sweden's Alex Noren, Italy's Francesco Molinari, Belgian Thomas Pieters, China's Li Haotong and the highly charismatic Englishman Ian Poulter.
The innovative initiative of the European Tour -- the Hero Challenge -- after making its way through the earlier events held alongside Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and The British Masters, Newcaste will conclude here on the eve of the DP World Tour Championship.
It will also mark the first time that the Hero Challenge will be held outside of the United Kingdom.
Fleetwood (2), Rahm, Cabrera-Bello and Alex Noren have also won titles this year on the main European Tour.
The eight Tour stars will go head-to-head in a knockout format, with the winners of the quarter-finals progressing to the semi-finals before the two finalists battle it out for the title.
The players will be put in front of a specially created platform tee and a floating target in the ocean. They will also be surrounded by atmospheric pyrotechnics and smoke, with their target illuminated by a spectacular runway of lights in the ocean.
The event will take place as a part of the season-ending DP World Tour Championship Beach Party on November 14.
The event, which was introduced at the British Masters in 2016, has now grown into a three-event series at the Scottish Open, the British Masters and the DP World Tour Championships in Dubai.
