Four South African students detained

Four South African college students were taken into custody for allegedly travelling in a car without licence plates here today, police said.
The four were nabbed at a toll gate here by police during a routine vehicle check.
On being questioned, the students said they were pursuing a Business Administration course at a college in Salem and were returning from Puducherry after celebrating Ramzan there.
The students would be let off after an enquiry while the efforts are on to trace the vehicle owner, police added.
