drowned in a lake at Mohgaon in Hingna taluka today, police said.
The incident occurred in the afternoon when one of the girls slipped and fell into the lake and three boys who tried to save her also fell and drowned, said Hingana Police Inspector S Wankhede.
They were part of a group of nine youths, including five girls, from Nagpur who had gone to Mohgaon to celebrate birthday of one of them, he said.
However, details about the case like the identity of the victims and whether the bodies have been fished out of water are not known yet.
