Frances McDormand wants 'Olive Kitteridge 2'

A sequel to Emmy Award winner "Olive Kitteridge" is in the hands of the audience, said its star Frances McDormand.
The four-part miniseries swept the Emmys on Sunday with an Outstanding Limited Series gong, in addition to stars McDormand, Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray winning acting trophies, reported Deadline.
Following her triumph as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie, McDormand challenged fans of the series to lobby HBO for a follow-up.
"We would love to do more. We would love for you all to start a social media campaign to do more," the 58-year-old actress said.

"Olive Kitteridge" won a total of eight Emmy Awards overall this year, shy of "Game of Thrones" newly-set record of 12.
The HBO miniseries was based on a 2008 novel by Elizabeth Strout, and chronicled Olive Kitteridge's troubled 25-year relationship with her husband Henry (Jenkins).
