The Delhi government today decided to provide free travel for women in all buses of DTC and cluster (orange), including air-conditioned, tomorrow on Bhai Dooj.
Delhi Transport Minister Satyendar Jain said the decision was taken to allow women and girls to travel without any hassle throughout the day to meet their family members and celebrate Bhai Dooj.
He said all necessary formalities have been completed in this regard and orders issued to the officials concerned.
Regional Managers and Depot Managers have been instructed to remain mobile in their operational area to ensure availability of adequate number of buses at heavy loading points, DTC said.
