Passengers can now take benefit of this service free of cost for 30 minutes on their smart phones, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of ECR Arvind Kumar Rajak said in a statement.
The service has been launched by Railtel in the name of 'Railwire' and infrastructure has provided by Railtel, while access point is made available by Google.
A total of 24 access points have been installed at Darbhanga station, the statement said.
The maximum speed of this service is 10 GBPS, Rajak said.
He said after start of the service, passengers in waiting rooms can get information about arrival and departure of their trains, PNR status and other information through Internet.
Other four divisions under ECR whose headquarter is at Hajipur, are Danapur, Sonpur, Mughalsarai and Dhanbad.
