The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the portrait of Chinnamalai here today, a party release said.
DMK Treasurer M K Stalin hailed Chinnamalai for the late leader's service to the nation and to the state and claimed it was only during DMK regime that his statue was installed.
"Chinnamalai not only worked for the welfare of people in Kongu region but also for the younger generations of the state. It was during DMK regime that a statue was installed in recognition to his service", Stalin said in social networking platform Facebook.
