Freight rate drops on easy availability of trucks

Freight rates for the nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy availability of trucks in the markets.
Transporters said restricted cargo movements against easy availability of trucks, mainly pulled down freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijaywada and Bengaluru freights fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 53,000, Rs 55,000 and Rs 61,000 respectively.
Rates to Mysore, Puducherry and Coimbatore also moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 66,000, Rs 67,000 and Rs 69,000 respectively.
