Freight rate eases on ample trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations weakened by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following excess enquiries by truck operators against cargo movements.
Transporters said easy availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements, mainly pulled down freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Banglore, Mysore and Coimbatore freights moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 61,000, Rs 64,000 and Rs 68,000.
Rates to Guwahati, Goa and Vijaywada from capital too went down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 50,000, Rs 48,000, Rs 56,000.
