Freight rates decline on ample trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations eased by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following ample position of trucks against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said easy position of trucks against tight cargo movements, mainly led to a decline in freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Bangalore and Chennai freight rates were down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 64,000 and Rs 65,000.
Freights to Jaipur, Chandigarh and Ludhiana dropped by Rs 500 each to Rs 17,000, Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,0000.
