The rains and snowfall triggered landslides in tribal Kinnaur district and a massive landslide blocked the Hindustan-Tibet National highway near Urni, about 230 km from here.
The fresh snowfall has also hampered the snow clearing operations on Manali-Leh National highway and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has pressed its men and machinery into action to restore the roads.
The local MeT office has predicted more snow and rains at isolated places in lower, mid and higher hills tomorrow due to fresh western disturbances.
The minimum day temperatures rose marginally and Nahan and Una recorded a low of 19.5 degree and 18.2 degree, four to eight degree above normal, followed by Sundernagar 15.7 degree, Bhuntar 15.4 degree, Dharamsala and Solan 14.5 degree, Shimla 11.8 degree and Kalpa 5.0 degree Celsius.
