Heavy showers pounded Patna, hitting normal life as many areas remained under knee-deep water.
The city guaged 133.8 mm of rains. Water logging in many areas forced closure of several schools, the MeT office said.
Very heavy rains were witnessed at one or two places in the state. Extremely heavy rainfall was reported from a few places in Muzaffarpur district.
Bhagalpur got 65 mm of rains till 5:30 PM, Purnea 39 mm, Patna 1.8 mm and Gaya 0.8 mm.
The weatherman has predicted one or two spells of rains or thundershowers in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea tomorrow.
