ftcash team-ups with ICICI Bank to launch UPI for merchants

Mobile payments and loans start-up ftcash has tied-up with ICICI Bank to launch the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) platform for merchants to make payments easier for them.
"ftcash, backed by IvyCap Ventures, is the first fintech startup to launch UPI for merchants in association with ICICI Bank. Now you can pay a vegetable vendor who sells on the sidewalk or your newspaper vendor using UPI," the company said in a release.
It is a virtual point of sale (POS) for micro-merchants to accept payments through credit cards, debit cards, wallets such as Freecharge, Mobikwik, PayPal.
"UPI is the latest addition to this open architecture platform," it added.

SchoolForSure.Com raises funding from Foodpanda co-founder * Online school admissions platform SchoolForSure.Com has raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding from private investors, including Foodpanda co-founder Rohit Chadda.

SchoolForSure.Com, which operates a single platform for filling master application form for all schools, enables parents to apply to multiple schools.
The startup will use the proceeds to expand its team and increase reach to more geographies, it said in a statement.

Agnificent's Khel Now platform connects sports fans and stakeholders like teams, coaches, academies and sport brands.

Ezytruk raises Rs 1 cr funding from Dubai-based investors * Bengaluru-based logistics and truck aggregator Ezytruk has raised USD 147,000 (Rs 1 crore) in funding from Dubai-based investors Ajith Nair and Anish K.
