The vehicle had hit a boundary wall while carrying the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) from the domestic to the international terminal, Airport Director George Tharakan told PTI.
The vehicle went out of control while negotiating a curve and hit the boundary wall on the perimeter road following which ATF spilled on to the road, he said adding that efforts are on to remove the fuel from the tanker.
Though the mishap occurred inside the airport, air traffic was not affected, he said.
