Hip-hop artist Future will perform at 2016 MTV Video Music Awards for the first time.
The 32-year-"Low Life" hitmaker joins previously announced performers including Nick Jonas, Britney Spears and Rihanna.
"My creativity comes from me being in the studio and my past situations. It's about mastering the tone for me. It's about mastering the melody.
"It's about mastering a style. It's about becoming one with the beat. It's about taking the beat places the beat never thought it could go. My music is a diary. It carries volumes," Future said in a promotional video posted on official Twitter page of the awards.
The 2016 VMAs scheduled to happen at New York City's Madison Square Garden will air live on MTV on August 28.
