The meeting is expected to be attended by CMs of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar and PWD Ministers of other states, including senior officials of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, state PWD (and MOS Home) along with senior officials of Ministry of Home Affairs, CRPF, BSF etc.
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways had taken up improvement of road connectivity in 34 severely LWE-affected districts covering a total length of 5,477 km and eight states of AP (now Telangana), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh under road requirement Plan (RRP).
As on date, 3,299 km length (67 per cent) is completed, incurring an expenditure of Rs 4,374 crore under this scheme.
