The roads are Joram-Koloriang, Pasighat-Yingkiong via Mariyang, Meka-Anini, Hawacamp-Hawai via Hayuliang and Hoj-Papu via Yupia.
The approval was made last week, Parliamentary Secretary for PWD Minister, Alo Libang said in a statement here today.
Appreciating Gadkari's move as prudent, Libang said it would accelerate the road work in this land-locked state having the lowest road density in the country.
Libang expressed hope that the union minister would ensure fund flow for timely completion of other roads.
Of the country's total road length of 46.90 lakh km as on March 31, 2011, with an average density of 21.6 km (per 100 sqkm), the NE has a very poor road area, including 21,555 km NHs in Arunachal Pradesh with a density of 25.74 km as revealed during the review meeting of the ministry in August last year, official sources said.
