The gang was arrested by the Narpoli police station, Bhiwandi yesterday in connection with the loot last week and have been booked under Section 395 (dacoity), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy) and other relevant sections of the IPC, senior police inspector Kalwa police station R D Malekar said.
The same gang members were involved in an alleged attack on a police patrolling team here last month under the Kalwa police station limits, he said.
Three police constables were injured in the attack.
The police has recovered the stock of medicines and also copper and iron scrap worth Rs 17 lakhs, which the gang had stolen from Nala Sopara area in Thane, police said.
The accused will be transferred to the Kalwa police station in connection with the attack on police personnel case on June 17, they said.
