Police also seized 273 BTS devices, worth over Rs 1.85 crore, from a shop in suburban Kurla.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested one of the accused when he was stealing a BTS device from a mobile tower in Vikhroli yesterday.
His interrogation led to arrest of seven others, while another eight persons are wanted, police said.
The gang sold the BTS devices as scrap material.
The arrested men were identified as Vishal Ahire, Seshram Verma, Ganesh Kamble, Vinod Kumar Hrijan, Nadeem Ahmed, Salman Abbasi, Kantilal Jain and Abbas Malik.
The accused also have robbery cases registered against them at several police stations in the city, police said.
