Ganja seized; three held

Ganja, weighing 52 kg and
valued at Rs eight lakh in the international market, was today seized when it was being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh to Cumbum and three persons arrested in this connection, police said.
The trio, allegedly involved in the smuggling of the contraband, were nabbed at Vadamathurai by Narcotic Intelligence Bureau officials during a vehicle check, DSP Venkatesh said.
They had checked the vehicles following a tip-off that ganja was being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh.
