Ganja worth Rs two crore seized, four arrested

About 250 kgs of ganja worth Rs two crore in the international market was seized today at nearby Dhanushkodi and four persons were arrested in this connection, police said.
A 'Q' branch team first arrested two brothers who were found moving around suspiciously. Their questioning led to the arrest of the other two.
The brothers reportedly revealed that they planned to smuggle the ganja to Sri Lanka through a boat and were promised Rs 25,000 by the other two persons if they transported the drug to Dhanushkodi.
Police said the brothers were only couriers and had no knowledge of where the ganja originated from.
