"We feel disappointed with the judgement. It is violative of basic human rights. We are against it," they said while demanding restoration of their rights.
They called the verdict as a sad day for Indian democracy.
"A sad day for democracy where the SC bench denies the LGBT community its constitutional right to equality and protection against discrimination," they said.
On December 11, 2013, the Supreme Court set aside the July, 2009 Delhi High Court judgement decriminalizing consensual gay sex between adults in private.
