GDA holds demolition drive in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad Development Authority today held an encroachment drive on Link road here and demolished more than three dozen temporary illegal structures.
The drive was held from UP gate to Mohan Nagar fly over, Officer on Special Duty Shree Prakash Gupta said, adding, more than three dozen temporary constructions were razed.
The green belt on the Link road was grabbed by the encroachers and the enforcement team had to face a resistance from the illegal occupants, he said.
A strong contingent of GDA Police, enforcement department, Civil Police, and Nagar Nigam participated in the bulldozing programme.
