GE Power India reports Rs 63 cr loss in June qtr

GE Power India, which was formerly know as Alstom India Ltd, today reported a Rs 63.01 crore standalone loss in the quarter ended June 30.
The company's standalone net profit for the quarter ended on June 30, 2015 was Rs 12.43 crore, GE Power India Ltd said in a BSE filing.
According to statement, the company's total income from operations was Rs 385.48 crore in the first quarter compared to Rs 421.39 crore year ago.
Alstom India Ltd was renamed as GE Power India following its acquisition by the US giant General Electric.
Earlier last month, the company received shareholders' approval for changing the name of the company to GE Power India after the firm was taken over by GE.
The company's business activity falls within a single business segment, that is power generation.
