Before the acquisition, the fund held 4.97 per cent equivalent to 8,234,876 equity shares in PNB Housing. It has now increased to 5.01 per cent (8,303,503 shares) after buying the additional 68,627 (0.04 per cent) equity stock in the company.
"The equity shares have been acquired through open market. The acquirer does not have any additional rights in respect of the equity shares acquired," PNB Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.
The acquisition took place in an open market acquisition on November 11, 2016.
Its Rs 3,000 crore IPO at price band of Rs 750-775 a share, launched in late October was over-subscribed 29.55 times.
The company had closed 0.53 per cent down at Rs 926.70 last Friday. The stock market was closed today on account of "Gurunanak Jayanti".
