Feig recently announced that he is working on an all female-led reboot of the 1984 comedy that revolved around a bunch of parapsychologists who capture ghosts for a living.
During a Reddit AMA, Gillian expressed a desire to be a part of the movie when asked by a fan.
"Paul Feig, cast me now! I'm free I'm free and I'm funny, goddamnit!," she wrote in her reply.
Film's original star Bill Murray had welcomed the all women reboot saying he would cast Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Linda Cardellini, and Emma Stone.
