GIPCL net up 5.5% at Rs 53.31 cr in Sept qtr

Gujarat government-run Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd (GIPCL) today posted a 5.5 per cent jump in its standalone net profit at 53.31 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2017.
The company's standalone net profit was Rs 50.52 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016, GIPCL said in a BSE filing today.
According to the statement, the company's total income for the quarter was Rs 325.78 crore in the quarter compared to Rs 336.32 crore.
The company's standalone net profit in the April- September period was Rs 116.23 crore as compared to Rs 105.49 crore a year ago.
The GIPCL is into the business of power generation.
