Girl attacked with acid in Bihar's Gopalganj

A minor girl was attacked with acid by a man, co-villager, at Savreji village under Meerganj police station limits of the district when she refused to go along with him to sit for an examination, the police said.
Meerganj SHO Akshay Lal Singh Yadav said one Guddu Sah insisted to take the 15-year-old girl to the examination centre at Meerganj for Intermediate examination which was scheduled to begin from February 24, but the girl refused to go with him.
Enraged with the girl's negative reply, Sah threw acid on the girl who sustained burn injuries on her body and face, the SHO said.
The girl has been admitted to Sadar hospital for treatment, SHO said adding, an FIR has been lodged by the family members of the victim in this regard.
Guddu Sah and the girl were the residents of Savreji village and knew each other, he added.
