Deputy commisioner of police (detective department) Ajay Kumar Thakur said the body of the girl was found from her house in Barrackpore's Bidhanpally area.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
The cause of the death of the girl who was a class ten student is yet to be ascertained, Thakur said.
