Hina Katariya and her mother were riding a scooter when two men on bike snatched her chain.
Hina however chased and caught Anil Ahuja, one of the accused, with the help of other people and handed him over to the police. His accomplice Ajay Barot ran away.
Hina sustained injuries to her leg in the incident while her Nishaben too was injured.
Police commissioner E Radhakrishnan and joint police commissioner D J Patel lauded her courage.
