The reason behind the death was not known yet and the body has been sent for post mortem, Superintendent of Police N Kolanchi said.
The girl had left her house this morning and her body was found in a nearby village in afternoon, the SP said.
District Magistrate Mahendra Kumar has directed that the post mortem should be conducted by a panel of doctors.
