The 18-year old girl also caught the woman, Manowara Begum who had sold her to the traffickers and handed her over to the authorities, police sources said here.
The girl had met Manowara Begum at a tea stall in Baghbar on January 17 and told her about the hardship she was facing as an orphan, the sources said.
Assuring her a job in a company in Delhi, Manowara sent the teenager to Delhi with two persons Hafijur and Farida.
Manowara admitted that she and Hafijur and Farida had sold the girl in Delhi on January 18 for Rs one lakh, they said.
Manowara also admitted the three of them were selling girls from remote areas in Barpeta into the flesh trade by promising jobs or marriage in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and other places, the sources said.
