Girl missing after auto rickshaw falls in canal

An 11-year-old girl from Ravulupalam went missing after an auto-rickshaw in which she was travelling fell into an irrigation canal near P Gannavaram village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.
The rickshaw fell into the canal after one of its tyres burst, police officer Veera Babu said.
Eight other passengers in the rickshaw were rescued.
Driver of the rickshaw fled from the spot. Search for the girl is on.
