The accused, identified as Neeraj, had been making advances towards the girl for past 20 days which she had been resisting, they said.
On Friday, the girl had gone to fetch water from a nearby tank when Neeraj held her from the back and forcefully took her to a nearby place where he raped her, they said.
The accused then threatened her of dire consequences if she narrated the incident to anyone, police said, adding, a medical examination has confirmed rape.
A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered against Neeraj, who is absconding, they said.
