The girl 25-year-old Sapna, daughter of Dharamvir and resident of Jasoee village, took the extreme step yesterday when came here to participate in a teacher counseling session, the police said.
The police is investigating the matter.
In another incident, Nita Bhatnagar was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband Ashwani and in-laws over dowry demand.
The incident took place at Motimal locality here and Ashwani has been arrested and a case registered against him in this connection, police said adding that the body has been sent for postmortem.
According to police, Salma was married to Gullu 12 years back. She was allegedly harassed by her in-laws.
