Shopkeepers here today observed a complete shut down against police's alleged failure in tracing two minor Dalit girls who were abducted last month.
While 7-year-old Parul of the nearby Cheemnawas village was kidnapped on May 4, five-year-old Divya of Bhiwani district was abducted allegedly by an unidentified person on May 20.
Both the girls were kidnapped from the Rewari railway station premises here.
Meanwhile, district administration has urged the people to maintain peace and harmony.
District Police and Government Railway Police (GRP) have launched a joint search operation to trace the girls and thorough investigation was being made while considering all possible aspects, an official spokesman said.
The teams constituted to trace the girls have been visiting different places.
A reward of Rs five lakh in cash would be given to the person who would give information about the girls, he added.
