Angry over non-availability of teachers in their school, a group of girls today held protest on Balsamand road here and blocked vehicular traffic.
The students of Government Girls High School in Rawalwas Khurd village were seeking appointment of teachers for the subjects of Mathematics, Science and Sanskrit.
They were also supported by their parents in the protest.
Later, government officers led by Tehsilar Virendar Gill reached the spot and assured the girls of necessary action in this regard, after which they agreed to lift the blockade.
